Leadership & Employee Development

Managers who can lead through uncertainty, not just announce it.

The layer that decides whether change lands

Change is delivered by managers, not by programmes. If the layer between the executive team and the workforce cannot lead through uncertainty, nothing above it matters โ€” the strategy is sound and the organisation still does not move.

Most managers were promoted for technical competence and then asked to hold conversations nobody trained them for. That is a capability gap, not a character flaw, and it is solvable.

Manager mid-sentence with their team, others listening

The message that changes on the way down

Each manager explains the change slightly differently, because none of them was given words they believed. By the third retelling it is a different programme.

The newly promoted manager

Excellent at the work, new to leading it, and now the first person their team asks about a restructure.

The training that did not transfer

A good two-day course, and nothing different on the Monday. Behaviour changes with practice and follow-up, not with content.

Our approach

01

Assess

What this leadership population can already do, where it stalls under pressure, and which behaviours the strategy actually depends on.

02

Design

A programme built around your real situations, not generic case studies โ€” using the conversations your managers are currently avoiding.

03

Practise

Facilitated sessions and one-to-one coaching where people rehearse the difficult conversation before they have to hold it for real.

04

Sustain

Follow-up at six and twelve weeks, peer groups that keep running without us, and an honest read on what transferred.

What's included

Scoped per engagement. A full leadership programme is usually assembled from these parts.

Leadership development deliverables
Included Deliverable What it involves What you receive
Leadership capability assessment Structured interviews and behavioural assessment across the leadership population A capability read with the gaps that matter for your strategy
Change-leadership curriculum Modules built on your live situations, sequenced across weeks rather than crammed A curriculum and facilitator materials you keep
Executive coaching One-to-one sessions for senior individuals carrying an unusual load A confidential coaching engagement with agreed goals
Manager's guide to the change Drafted answers to the questions managers will actually be asked A practical guide, briefed rather than emailed
Transfer review Follow-up at six and twelve weeks against the behaviours agreed at the start An honest report on what changed and what did not

Corporate strategy alignment on leadership engagements is delivered in partnership with Gaye Consulting International and Pyramid Group.

Who it's for

Mid-level leadership populations

The layer that translates the strategy into Monday, and is usually asked to do it without support.

Newly promoted managers

Strong practitioners learning to lead, often during the least forgiving period to be learning.

Executive teams that need one story

Where each member is telling a subtly different version and the organisation has noticed.

Outcomes

One consistent story

Leaders explaining the same change the same way, in their own words rather than a script.

Harder conversations held sooner

Performance, workload and uncertainty addressed while they are still small.

Behaviour that transferred

Measured at twelve weeks against the behaviours agreed at the start, not against a course rating.

Peer support that outlasts us

Manager groups that keep meeting after the programme closes, because they are useful.

Questions about this work

Eight to sixteen for practice-based sessions. Larger groups work for briefings, but nobody rehearses a difficult conversation in a room of forty.

Both, deliberately. Content alone rarely changes behaviour. The sessions build the capability; the coaching and follow-up are what make it survive contact with a busy week.

Yes, and we regularly run multi-country cohorts across time zones. We would still recommend at least one session in the room where the budget allows.

Against a small number of observable behaviours agreed with you before the programme starts, reviewed at six and twelve weeks with the managers and their teams.

Scope-dependent, driven mostly by cohort size and duration. After the first conversation you receive a written outline and a figure, with no obligation.
